As part of mission’s outreach initiatives, Shri Yogesh Singh, Second Secretary (Edu) and Shri Rajesh Dogra, Second Secretary (Cons) visited Nacala in northern Mozambique.
ITEC Day was celebrated in Nacala attended by working professionals and students. Second Secretary (Edu) briefed the participants about the various scholarships and short-term training courses that are conducted in India. These courses are fully funded by Government of India. Every year, about 100 Mozambican nationals attend various short-term training courses in India. Mr. Xavier, ICCR alumnus shared his experience of India and encourage Mozambican students to avail ICCR scholarships. India provides about 50 ICCR scholarships to Mozambican students to pursue graduate, post graduate and PhD courses in various universities in India.
A consular camp was held in Nacala in northern Mozambique. We have substantial Indian community in Nacala. The Indian community immensely appreciated the Consular, Passport and OCI services provided during the camp.
